Maria and Eric first met in college, brought together by a mutual friend. What started as a chance meeting quickly turned into frequent excuses to find opportunities to spend time together. Maria says that Eric has a contagious excitement for life and he shares it with everyone he interacts with. Eric loves how passionate and empathetic Maria is. The relationships in her life are extremely important to her and she’ll always go above and beyond to stay connected to those she loves. Fast forward a few years, and it makes perfect sense why these two were brought together.
Their wedding venue, Citizens Ballroom, was once a historic bank in the heart of downtown Frederick. The space was transformed into a stunning modern wedding venue. The original safe deposit boxes and vault doors are a focal point of the venue. It’s sleek and sophisticated but still warm and full of character.
From the very beginning, Maria and Eric said they were most excited to celebrate their relationship with the people who helped shape it. They centered their day around love, good food, and meaningful connection (and an amazing dance party after dinner).
Days like theirs remind me why my job is so special. It is a privilege to be part of such a meaningful celebrations, especially when you can feel the love in the room.
